VIX pushed to a 4-month high and is rapidly approaching the 200-day EMA at 24. The indicator has never been a slave to moving average support or resistance so this is an observation rather than a prediction. There are good arguments for VIX falling from now into Friday expiration but it will take a lot of options magnetism to turn around this runaway train.
